HE Ith Rady Presided Over Human Rights Standards and Provisional Detention Training Session
A two-day training session focused on human rights standards and pre-trial detention took place at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel, under the chairmanship of HE Ith Rady, Vice-President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), on Thursday, 29 August 2024. This event was organised in collaboration between the CHRC and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
The training aimed to enhance the understanding of national and international human rights standards related to provisional detention and violations of rights during pre-trial detention, including those affecting minors, among dignitaries, civil servants, and lawyers of the CHRC. In particular, the CHRC lawyers received training and resources to better advocate for their clients, including minors.
