The Senior Minister said that the Royal Government of Cambodia has paid attention to the protection and promotion of the rights and freedoms of children; this includes the four fundamental rights they must enjoy: the right to life, the right to education, the right to development, and the right to participation. The promotion and protection of children is a priority for the Royal Government of Cambodia through its implementation of international laws, especially the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and Optional Protocols, the development of laws, policies and measures to meet the needs of children and, especially, their protection in order for them to live in freedom, peace and development. Children’s fundamental rights, freedoms, as well as other rights prevail thanks to the factors of peace under the leadership of the Royal Government.
