HE Pa Ponnarada Participated as a Speaker in the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists
Phnom Penh: Appointed by HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodia Human Rights Committee, HE Pa Ponnarada participated as a speaker in the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists under the theme “Promoting the Safety of Journalists in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Fake News” which took place on 4 December 2025, at Baytong Phnom Penh Hotel. This event was jointly organised by UNESCO and OHCHR, with the participation of a total of about 40 representatives from the Ministry of Information, the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, media outlets, and civil society organisations.
It aims to provide a platform to strengthen cooperation between the Royal Government, the media, and civil society organisations, as well as to share opinions, updates, and challenges in order to promote the safety of journalists in the era of AI and fake news.
