CHRC Vice-President HE Ith Rady Discussed Cooperation with OHCHR Cambodia
On the morning of Monday, 15 July 2024, HE Ith Rady, Vice-President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), representing HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the CHRC, met with Ms Roanna Tay from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR Cambodia) for work discussion at the CHRC meeting hall.
The two working groups discussed cooperation on:
1. Organising training workshops related to human rights and law for lawyers, prosecutors, judges and law enforcement officers;
2. Workshop on Dissemination of International Covenants and Conventions, National Report on Human Rights and Concluding Observations;
3. National Recommendations Tracking Database: NRTD;
4. Update on the draft Law on the Organisation and Functioning of the National Human Rights Committee; and
5. Developing a curriculum on international human rights law for the armed forces and law enforcement officers.
