President’s Message

Welcoming remarks of His Excellency Senior Minister, and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee !

I am delighted to welcome and thank you for visiting the website of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC)!

This website will be, in the public interest, the hub for gathering and sharing information related to human rights activities. The Cambodian Human Rights Committee, in the roles as the government institution on human rights, has been actively fulfilling its role and duties to protect and promote human rights in Cambodia.

The public will better understand the following CHRC missions and activities:

  • Writing reports on human rights in Cambodia to the United Nations;
  • Human rights affairs in ASEAN and the United Nations;
  • Human rights education and dissemination;
  • Mechanisms for receiving and resolving complaints related to human rights violations;
  • Inspection of the human rights situation in prisons and correctional centers; and
  • Humanitarian activities of the CHRC.

To get to know more about the CHRC activities and functioning, follow our progress through this website, which is regularly updated. In addition, you may join our Facebook family, officially named the Cambodian Human Rights Committee.

We have also developed a mobile application that can be used on both IOS CHRC APP and Android CHR to make it easier for you to access the latest human rights information. Through this mobile application, you will find it even more faster way to connect with the CHRC, searching for information, commenting, posing questions, making requests, especially you may also file complaints related to human rights to the CHRC.
