Representing HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), HE Ouch Nipon, CHRC Vice President, welcomed a working group of the Rainbow Community Kampuchea (RoCK), led by Miss Ly Pisey, RoCK Coordinator, for work discussion on Thursday morning, 13 November 2025, at the CHRC meeting hall.

This meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between the CHRC and RoCK in promoting LGBT rights in Cambodia. The RoCK representative reported the progress of their research on “the economic benefits of achieving legal marriage equality for same-sex couples,” as well as recent developments related to the rights of the LGBT community in Cambodia.

HE [Ouch Nipon] said that conducting this research is a good initiative and the first step in research, which will present scientific data about the contribution of the LGBT community to Cambodian society. This research will contribute to changing the mindset of discrimination against LGBT individuals, and the CHRC always supports and collaborates with the RoCK in promoting and protecting the LGBT rights.
