CHRC Working Group Investigated Complaints from Citizens in Preah Vihear Province
Preah Vihear province: HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Nhem Bunthoeun, CHRC member, to investigate complaints from residents in Rikreay and Rusron communes, Rovieng district, Preah Vihear province, on Thursday morning, 29 January 2026. The working group consulted residents from four villages in Rikreay commune—the complainants—to gather details. On the 30th of the same month and year, they met with residents from two additional villages in Rusron commune involved in a land dispute with a company. They also conferred with the two commune chiefs and the Rovieng District Administration director for more insights into the resident-company conflict.
