Kampot province: HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Oum Narin, a CHRC member, to head a working group to Sangkat Andoung Khmer, Krung Kampot, Kampot province, on Monday, 14 September 2026. The group delivered an awareness session on “human rights and law” to 36 (9 female) residents. Three main topics included 1. Cambodia’s human rights protection mechanisms, 2. citizens’ rights and obligations, and 3. rights, freedoms, and laws.

This educational outreach event benefited from strong support from the provincial leadership—including the provincial governor—and saw the participation of the Krung governor, commune chief, council members, and representatives of the local residents, contributing significantly to its successful outcome.
