HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, and Chairman of the Royal Government Task Force in Korskralor District, Met with Refugee Families Who Fled to Korskralor District, Battambang Province
Battambang province: On the morning of 13 December 2025, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC) and Chairman of the Royal Government Task Force in Korskralor District and Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen of the Royal Government Task Force in Korskralor District met with 181 refugee families, approximately 600 individuals, who fled various geographical areas to Korskralor district, Battambang province, including children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and pregnant women.
Taking this opportunity, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, conveyed the best regards and utmost care of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, and HE Dr Pich Chanmony to all the refugees.
He also informed about the most dangerous and evil tactics of the Thai side, which always invades and attempts to provoke war with Cambodia. At the same time, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the heroism and bravery of the frontline troops who fought, sacrificed and defended Cambodian territory against the enemy. The CHRC has stood alongside the Royal Government and the frontline troops from the outset of the border conflict, supporting soldiers engaged in combat with weapons, and its working group has also filed complaints through the United Nations Human Rights Council, regional mechanisms, and independent human rights institutions about Thailand’s violations of international law, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law, and urged the Thai side to respect and implement the 28 July 2025 Ceasefire Agreement and the 26 October 2025 Joint Declaration.
In addition, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, emphasised that this war has shown and reflected the strong solidarity of Cambodian people in all directions, both in and outside the country, and has shown their love and support for the army.
Finally, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, expressed his deep gratitude to the local authorities for their attention and assistance in helping the refugees, and HE Bun Hun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Royal Government Task Force in Korskralor District, and the dignitaries, for providing financial aid to the refugees.
