His Excellency Nou Sthapatia, chaired a report writing working group meeting in order to review the concluding observations made by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights
On the morning of Wednesday, 16 August 2023, at the meeting hall of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), His Excellency Nou Sthapatia, CHRC Member and Team-leader for writing the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights report, chaired a report writing working group meeting in order to review the concluding observations made by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights on 27 2023 after the Cambodian delegation went to defend its 5th, 6th and 7th Combined Report on 21-22 February 2023 at the 73rd Session of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
The meeting reviewed and discussed in preparation for the distribution of the concluding observations according to sectors and jurisdiction of the relevant ministries and institutions for review and action.
In addition, the CHRC is going to work together with the United Nations Human Rights Office of the High Commissioner in Cambodia to organise a workshop in September in order to disseminate the aforesaid concluding observations to representatives of government institutions, civil society organisations and development partners with the aim of discussing the dissemination, monitoring, including strategies and roles for monitoring and implementing recommendations from stakeholders.
