HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, said the Royal Government and the people at the back always appreciate, support, and encourage the courageous soldiers at the front for their efforts, sacrifices, and commitment to defending the country from enemies.

On Monday morning, 20 October 2025, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), led a CHRC delegation to the 42nd Infantry Brigade, 4th Military Region, located in Kou village, Banteay Ampil commune, Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey province, where the brave soldiers are stationed, to provide them with food, supplies, and financial support, (including contributions from the Cambodian Child Development Organization).

On that occasion, he conveyed the warmest regards, consideration, and close attention from Samdech Techo and Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister to the brave soldiers stationed on the Cambodian-Thai border, who are dedicated to defending the country from invasion. He further stated that the Royal Government, dignitaries, civil servants, and all citizens always pay attention to and encourage our brave soldiers in various ways possible, without leaving them feeling alone.

Taking the opportunity, he also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the heroism and brave spirit of the frontline soldiers who fought, sacrificed and defended Cambodian territory from the enemy. As a matter of fact, the CHRC has been involved with the Royal Government and has been constantly with the frontline troops since the beginning of the conflict along the border – our soldiers engaged in combat with arms – and the CHRC working group has been lodging complaints with international and regional mechanisms regarding Thailand’s violations of international law, international human rights conventions, and international humanitarian law, and calling on the Thai side to honour and enforce the 28 July 2025 Ceasefire Agreement and to release the 18 soldiers. Currently, we are actively addressing noise disturbances affecting the residents of Prey Chan village.

Finally, he expressed his gratitude not only to the heroic soldiers but also to their families who sacrificed their children, parents, and time to defend Cambodia. He encouraged the army to continue their efforts and trust in the Royal Government’s leadership, which consistently supports them.
