CHRC Working Group Investigated Complaints from Citizens in Preah Vihear Province
Preah Vihear province: HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Nhem Bunthoeun, CHRC member, to investigate complaints from the residents being detained in Preah Vihear Provincial Prison, Preah Vihear province, on Thursday, 5 February 2026. The working group consulted the detained mother and child—the complainants—and the deputy director of the prison representing the director to gather details and clarify the case, which the complainants alleged that the prison director had restricted various rights in prison.
