CHRC Working Group Mediated Detainee’s Complaint at the Correctional Centre 2 (M2)
Phnom Penh: On Thursday, 11 July 2024, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), assigned HE Sin Bunthoeurn, member of the CHRC, to lead a working group to the Correctional Centre 2 (M2) for mediating the case of the detainee at who filed a complaint to the CHRC through its complaint box. At the same time, the CHRC also provided a human rights lawyer to the complainant detained at the Correctional Centre 2 (M2).
On that occasion, the working group also unlocked the CHRC complaint boxes placed in the Correctional Centre 1 (M1), the Correctional Centre 2 (M2) and the Phnom Penh Prison.
