Chham Mary, lead a (CHRC) Working Group to educate on and disseminate “human rights and law”
On the morning of Wednesday, 10 May 2023, with close attention of His Excellency Keo Remy, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister, and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), Her Excellency Chham Mary, Director General of the General Department of Investigation and Human Rights Education, was appointed to lead a (CHRC) Working Group to Sangkat Choam Chau 3, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh to educate on and disseminate “human rights and law” to local representatives. This dissemination aims to further raise awareness of basic human rights principles, national laws, international human rights treaties and covenants in relation to human rights.
The Working Group was warmly welcomed by the chief and the first deputy chief of Sangkat, the members of the [commune] council, the authorities at all levels and the locals, which made these outreach activities a great success.
