His Excellency Chin Malin , led the [CHRC] Working Group to discuss work and to strengthen cooperation
On Wednesday, 7 June 2023, assigned by His Excellency Keo Remy, Minister Delegate attached to the Prime Minister, and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), His Excellency Chin Malin, Vice-President of the CHRC, and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Justice, led the [CHRC] Working Group of the General Department of Investigation and Human Rights Education to the Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation to meet with His Excellency Sok Buntha, Secretary of State, on behalf of the Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation. The meeting was held to discuss work and to strengthen cooperation with regard to the protection and promotion of human rights in rehabilitation centres, drug rehabilitation centres, social welfare centres and orphanages across the country, under this Ministry.
As a result, the two sides raised issues and came up with a joint solution, setting up a cooperation mechanism between the two institutions for monitoring the human rights situation in those centres, placing children along with their mothers and minors in those centres for receiving care and education.
