His Excellency Ith Rady, chaired a meeting to gather additional inputs in preparation for presenting the national report on the implementation of the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.
On the morning of Monday, 29 February [January] 2024, His Excellency Ith Rady, Vice-President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), chaired a meeting to gather additional inputs in preparation for presenting the national report on the implementation of the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance at the CHRC.
The representatives of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, the Phnom Penh Supreme Court and Court of First Instance, the Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Court of First Instance and the CHRC Working Group in charge of writing the report on the protection of all persons from enforced disappearance attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed and provided some important information in preparation for a dialogue with the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances in the meeting to review Cambodia’s Initial National Report to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 19-20 February 2024.
