Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of 1 August 2025, HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), led a delegation to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital where six heroic soldiers are receiving treatment.

He conveyed the best regards and attention from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Samdech Kittiprittbindit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, and HE Dr Pich Chanmony to all the brave soldiers.

At the same time, he commended the courage, the willingness to sacrifice life and limb, and the relentless efforts to defend Cambodia’s territorial integrity against the illegal incursion by the Thai army. This clearly demonstrates the exceptional heroism of all Cambodian soldiers, which has earned them greater respect and affection from the people. It also played a part in the United States’ decision to reduce tariffs on Cambodia. He offered support to the military heroes currently receiving care at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, urging them to stay mentally strong and work hard towards a swift recovery.

He also emphasised the Royal Government’s attention to supporting military heroes by developing a policy package for their families. Additionally, he urged banking and microfinance associations to offer aid to the families of soldiers who have died, been injured, or disabled, and to ensure they receive honorable medals.

Finally, he sincerely thanked Excellencies, dignitaries of the CHRC for bringing monetary and food gifts to support the courageous soldiers undergoing treatment at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
