His Excellency Keo Remy, chaired an internal CHRC meeting.
On the afternoon of Thursday, 26 October 2023, His Excellency Keo Remy, Senior Minister, and President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), chaired an internal CHRC meeting, with CHRC Excellencies, leaders and all civil servants in attendance.
The main agenda of the meeting includes the following:
1. Review and discuss Cambodia’s participation at the request of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), to the member states to join the Human Rights 75 Initiative, the 75th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
2. Strengthen and supplement the CHRC core work in order to promote and mainstream the exercise of rights and obedience to law to the general public, including briefs on social media, etc.
3. Continue to strengthen the capacity of the working group in charge of writing national reports in accordance with international conventions and covenants on human rights under the jurisdiction of the CHRC.
Finally, His Excellency Keo Remy, Senior Minister, instructed all leaders and civil servants to work together in order that the CHRC makes further progress.
