In the meeting, he welcomed the members of the inter-ministerial working group and briefed them on the UPR, which is a mechanism established by the Human Rights Council in order to urge member states to strengthen the human rights situation in their countries by submitting reports on their achievements over a period of four and a half to five years.
The entire meeting received suggestions and some additional input from the representatives of various ministries and institutions for making the content of the Cambodia’s UPR, the fourth cycle, comprehensive.
