Senior Minister HE Keo Remy spearheaded a blood donation initiative at Kantha Bopha Hospital.
HE Keo Remy, Senior Minister, President of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC), headed a group comprising CHRC dignitaries, civil servants, volunteer lawyers, and various artists. They donated blood at Kantha Bopha Hospital on the morning of Monday, 4 May 2026, answering the hospital’s call to aid children requiring blood transfusions for treatment. HE Chin Malin, Standing Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice, joined the event, bringing the total participants to 30.
During the event, he stressed the value of joining Kantha Bopha’s blood donation efforts as a vital way to save young lives, bolster the hospital’s strained blood reserves, and fulfill society’s shared duty to meet these pressing medical demands.
He also urged attendees to honour Mr Beat Richner, Kantha Bopha’s founder, with profound thanks for his lifelong commitment to delivering free healthcare to Cambodian children.
In closing, he expressed appreciation to Dr Professor Ky Santy, Director of Kantha Bopha Hospital in Phnom Penh, for organising the drive, and to the CHRC dignitaries, civil servants, volunteer lawyers, and artists who gave blood that day.
